With regret, we announce the line-of-duty death of Deputy Caleb Conley of the Scott County, Kentucky, Sheriff’s Office.
Deputy Conley was shot at approximately 5:00 p.m. during a traffic stop on I-75 southbound in Scott County (near Georgetown).
He was transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.
Deputy Conley has served with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office for four years. He previously served in the U.S. Army for eight years.
He is survived by his wife and two young children.
